Emulsion-based cosmetics are products with a lotion-like consistency created by blending two immiscible substances-oil and water-using emulsification technology.

Oil-water hybrid structure: Emulsifiers are used to stably combine oil-based and water-based ingredients, forming a uniform emulsion system (such as oil-in-water or water-in-oil). This structure allows the product to offer both the moisturizing properties of oil-based ingredients and the refreshing feel of water-based ones.

Lightweight texture: Compared to creams, emulsion-based cosmetics feature smaller molecules and a thinner consistency; they do not feel sticky upon application and are rapidly absorbed by the skin.
