An ultrasonic oscillator is a device that utilizes ultrasonic waves to generate oscillations within a liquid, thereby removing minute particles from the surfaces of objects; it is also known as an ultrasonic cleaner or ultrasonic cleaning unit. Its core function is to achieve efficient cleaning through the action of high-frequency ultrasonic waves, while also possessing capabilities for sterilization, disinfection, and the promotion of chemical reactions.
Ultrasonic oscillators achieve cleaning through the effects of cavitation, acceleration, and acoustic streaming within the liquid:
- Cavitation: As ultrasonic waves propagate through the liquid, tiny bubbles form and rapidly collapse, generating localized high-temperature and high-pressure shock waves that dislodge dirt from the object's surface.
- Acceleration and acoustic streaming: Ultrasonic waves induce liquid flow, causing layers of contaminants to disperse and emulsify, thereby accelerating their detachment from the object's surface.
