The ultrasonic processor-also known as an ultrasonic cell disruptor, extractor, disperser, homogenizer, or emulsifier-is a common piece of equipment for laboratory sample pretreatment. It is widely used in fields such as genomics, proteomics, cell biology, pharmaceutical research, nanomaterial dispersion, traditional Chinese medicine extraction, food and environmental sciences, and the acceleration of chemical reactions.
Typically consisting of a main unit and a titanium alloy probe (horn), the device features an integrated design and an LCD touchscreen. It operates based on the cavitation effect generated by ultrasonic waves in liquids, enabling processes such as sample disruption, dispersion, and emulsification. The equipment includes functions such as automatic frequency tracking, amplitude compensation, pulse mode, and overload protection.
